Senior actor Mohan Babu who joined in the YSR Congress Party recently was sentenced to imprisonment for 1year by Erramanzil Special Magistrate Court. He was accused of Cheque bounce for 41.75 lakhs by a prominent director and producer YVS Chowdary. The issue is related to the denial of remuneration for YVS Chowdary who helmed the disastrous flick 'Salem'.

Now, the collection King clarified the media reports on this issue by saying, 'I paid complete remuneration to YVS Chowdary for directing 'Salem' in 2009 itself. To direct another flick in our banner, Offered Rs 40 lakh cheque. We decided to cancel the next project after 'Salem' failed miserably. Informed YVS about it and asked him not to deposit the cheque in the bank. Still, He deposited the cheque, made it bounce and filed a case against Me. YVS Chowdary misled the court. That is why he received a favorable judgment'.

He appealed the AP people not to believe the negative propaganda being spread by many news channels against him. He is going to challenge the judgment of the lower court in the Sessions Court.
