Liquor shop salesman shot dead for charging Rs 10 more
Greater Noida, March 28 (IANS) Criminals have gunned down a salesman at a government liquor shop here allegedly after being charged Rs 10 extra for beer by the deceased, police said on Thursday.

The incident took place on Wednesday night in Aichar village of Greater Noida, said Vineet Jaiswal, Superintendent of Police (Rural), Gautam Buddh Nagar.

The deceased, Kuldeep, 25, a native of Bulandshahr, worked as a salesman at the liquor shop.

The incident occurred around 9.45 p.m when two criminals arrived at the shop to buy liquor.

"An altercation erupted between Kuldeep and the two accused, who have been identified as Surendra and Raju, following which one of them pulled out a gun and fired three shots at Kuldeep. When Kuldeep collapsed on the ground, the accused fled in their car," said Jaiswal.

The SP said the argument started as the salesman was charging Rs 10 more than the rate printed on the beer bottle. A hunt is on to nab both the accused.
