Srinagar, March 19 (IANS) An overground worker of militants escaped on Tuesday from the court complex in Jammu and Kashmir's Srinagar district.
Police said Ishfaq Ahmad Rah of Kulgam district was brought to a Srinagar court from a sub-jail in Mattan town of Anantnag district for judicial remand.
"The accused managed to escape from the Srinagar court complex. A manhunt has been launched to trace him," a police officer said.
Overground workers are sympathizers of militants who don't carry weapons but work as eyes and ears of the separatists keeping track of security force movements and providing other logistic help to the militants.
