Raipur, March 18 (IANS) A CRPF Head Constable was killed and five other troopers were injured on Monday when Maoists exploded an IED (improvised explosive device) and opened fire in Dantewada district in Chhattisgarh, officials said.
The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and the Chhattisgarh Police were on road security duty when the attack took place after 6 p.m. in Aranpur area. The injured men were evacuated by helicopter to a Raipur hospital.
