Misunderstanding between RGV’s Lakshmi’s NTR team and the CBFC is cleared

Ram Gopal Varma's was getting ready for a court fight with the CBFC regarding his latest controversial movie Lakshmi's NTR which depicts AP CM Chandrababu Naidu in a bad light.  The director on Sunday tweeted that he had received a letter from CBFC informing him that his application to view the film for certification cannot be processed till the first phase of elections on April 11 as the movie attracts provisions of the model code of conduct.

The director also called for a press meet for tomorrow to give details on his court fight with CBFC.

Now, RGV says that is also sorted out and it's just a miscommunication between his office and CBFC. The Director tweeted "There has been an unfortunate misunderstanding between our office and the CBFC which has now been cleared ..The CB.FC is now doing the necessary action as per the laid down procedure ..Hence our press meet against the CBFC is cancelled ..Jai NTR #LakshmiNTR".

The film based on Telugu Desam Party (TDP) founder and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N.T. Rama Rao's second marriage with Lakshmi Parvathi and subsequent developments was scheduled to be released on March 22.

Since this issue is sorted we have to wait and see if CBFC clears the movie and whether EC will give a go-ahead for the movie release.
