Former CBI JD Laxminarayana is likely to join TDP according to the party sources. He is likely to be in the fray from Bheemili constituency in Visakhapatnam district. Though minister Nara Lokesh, son AP CM Chandrababu Naidu wanted to contest from here is now reported to be contesting from Visakhapatnam North constituency in the wake of the latest developments.
Lakshminarayana was the main investigating officer in the YS Jagan's disappropriate assets cases. He was the IAS officer of Maharashtra cadre. He took voluntary retirement from the service. Subsequently, He toured across the state and planned to start his own political party which did not materialize.
Lakshminarayana and senior minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao met in Hyderabad on Sunday and party sources say that he was willing to join TDP. He will be meeting with Chandrababu within two to three days.
