Election Commission announced the schedule for Lok Sabha elections and assembly elections in some states. To everyone’s surprise, the time given for the AP assembly elections is far too less to what all the parties are expecting.

The schedule is too tight for Andhra Pradesh which is going to polls for both Assembly as well as Lok Sabha. As the polling is going to be held on April 11, there is hardly any time for the parties to finalize the list of candidates.

The nomination process begins on March 18 and closes by March 25. Including that there are only 31 days for polling and let alone the time they have got for the campaigning. After the closure of the nominations, the parties will have only 15 days’ time for campaigning.

As per the first impressions of the parties the elections would be held in the last week of April. Now, its time for a change of strategies with this announcement.
