Even though Mahesh Babu is not interested in releasing the movie in May the makers felt that Mighty Avengers that is descending on April 26th will cut into the revenue of Maharshi both in Domestic and Overseas markets. To avoid this nightmare scenario the makers are now planning to release it on May 9th, which coincidently is the luckiest day to Ashwini Dutt. one of the producers of the movie.
Pooja Hegde will be seen as a heroine with Superstar Mahesh. Comedy King Allari Naresh is doing a pivotal role. 'Maharshi' is being made with high technical values involving huge cast.
Devi Sri Prasad is composing music while KU Mohanan is handling the camera. Another Technical Team involves Hari Solomon, Sunilbabu, KL Praveen, Raju Sundaram, Sree Mani, Ram-Lakshman
