Chennai, Feb 27 (IANS) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K. Palaniswami here on Wednesday laid foundation stones for Rs 14,071 crore industrial projects, said an official statement.
The state government signed several MoUs with investors at the recently concluded Global Investors Meet here.
The foundation stones were laid for projects promoted by Hyundai Motor India (investment Rs 7,000 crore); MRF Ltd (Rs 3,100 crore); Sundaram Clayton Group (Rs 1,200 crore); Wheels India Ltd (Rs 600 crore); Mando Automotive India Ltd (Rs 844 crore); Salcomp Manufacturing India Pvt Ltd (Rs 500 crore); Lakshmi Machine Works Ltd (Rs 600 crore); Roots Industries India Ltd (Rs 23 crore); Roots Multiclean Ltd (Rs 45 crore); Pure Chemicals (Rs 20 crore); JS Auto Cast Foundries India Pvt Ltd (Rs 39 crore) and Sastra University (Rs 100 crore).
Palaniswami also inaugurated the commercial operations of Sheng Long Biotech Ltd.
