Chandigarh, Feb 27 (IANS) Maximum and minimum temperatures dipped across Haryana and Punjab on Wednesday with overcast conditions and rain in some parts.
The maximum temperatures dipped by four to seven degrees at various places.
Chandigarh, which received light rain along with its surrounding areas on Wednesday morning, saw a high of 18.2 degrees Celsius, six degrees below average. The minimum temperature was 10.1 degrees.
The rainfall started on Tuesday night and continued intermittently.
Sikh holy city Amritsar in Punjab saw a high of 19 degrees and minimum temperature of 6.9 degrees.
Rainfall was also experienced in different parts of Punjab and Haryana on Wednesday.
Dry weather has been predicted by the Met department from Thursday onwards.
