New Delhi, Feb 20 (IANS) Waiting for trains won't be boring at the newly launched Aqua Line in Noida with Radio City beginning to broadcast its content live across stations on the line.
Radio City, one of India's leading radio networks, which has partnered with the Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC), began operations on Wednesday with the broadcast of hyper-local content aimed to suit the taste and concerns of the city-dwellers.
"The co-branded feed titled 'Radio City NMRC-Noida Metro Ka Apna Radio Station' plays curated content in Hindi from Sector 51 in Noida to The Depot Station in Greater Noida, covering the 29.7 km Metro corridor," Radio City, a subsidiary of Jagaran Prakashan Limited, said in a statement.
The radio channel on Wednesday installed a radio studio at NMRC Sector 51, Noida. It will play mixed content at 21 stations of the line, live from the Sector 51 Metro station from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The content will not be broadcast inside the trains.
"We are excited about NMRC's partnership with Radio City. Radio City is the best radio network when it comes to understanding the essence of the city and what connects best with its audience," Alok Tandon, Managing Director, NMRC, said in the statement.
Inaugurated last month by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Aqua Line connects Noida and Greater Noida.
