Bhubaneswar, Feb 12 (IANS) Justice M.M. Das Commission, probing the multi-crore chit fund scam, here on Tuesday submitted 6th interim report to the Odisha government and said another 2-3 years would be required to identify all the duped investors.
The commission had submitted its first interim report in May 2016.
Stating that 3.61 lakh small investors, around 50 per cent of the total, have been identified so far, Das said it may take 2-3 more years to identify the other victims.
The state government had set up the one-man commission in July 2013 to verify and return deposits collected by different chit fund companies.
The commission identified small investors, with below Rs 10,000 deposits, to return their money on a priority basis.
