Guwahati, Jan 8 (IANS) Rail journey through the scenic areas of the northeast will soon become more interesting.
The Railway Ministry has instructed the North Frontier Railway (NFR) to introduce see-through glass roof Vistadome coaches in trains running on routes having scenic beauty in the region.
NFR Chief Public Relation Officer P.J. Sharma said this on Tuesday.
He said this facility will be available on the Lumding-Badarpur and Kumarghat-Agartala hill sections and certain other sections of Upper Assam.
Vistadome coaches have been introduced in Kalka-Simla Railway, Jan Shatabdi Express plying on the Mumbai-Goa route and Visakhapatnam-Araku rail route.
