Vadodara, Jan 6 (IANS) CBSE Welfare Sports Organisation rose to the occasion, winning a gold in the 11SPORTS 64th National School Games Table Tennis Championship here on Sunday.
Up against a formidable Maharashtra, CBSE stole the limelight with a stellar 3-0 win.
Sarth Mishra started the proceedings for CBSE beating Jash Modi 3-2 (15-13, 8-11, 11-8, 7-11, 11-9).
Adarsh Om Chhetri made it 2-0 in favour of the education board with a 3-1 (8-11, 11-6, 13-11, 11-4) win over Rajveer.
With a healthy lead of 2-0, Shivam Chandra wrapped it up for his team by beating Amish Athavle 3-1 (11-9, 11-8, 6-11, 11-8) and go atop the podium.
Earlier, CBSE beat West Bengal 3-0 to pave their way to the final.
