New Delhi, Dec 21 (IANS) The Lok Sabha was adjourned till 12 p.m. on Friday after the AIADMK members created ruckus over the Cauvery water distribution dispute.
As soon as the House met for the day, the AIADMK, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) members trooped near the Speaker's podium and started sloganeering in support of their various demands.
The AIADMK members demand that the proposal to construct a dam across the Cauvery river at Mekadatu must be withdrawn, while the TDP raised several issues related to their demand for special status for Andhra Pradesh
The AAP members led by Bhagwant Maan demanded end of sealing in Delhi.
During the pandemonium Arakkonam MP G.Hari of the AIADMK tore some papers and through them towards the reporter's table.
This prompted Speaker Sumitra Mahajan to adjourn the House till 12 p.m. amid the Question Hour.
