Noted producer, Dil Raju acquired the Telugu remake rights of 96 and he is currently busy finalizing the female lead for this film.
Apparently, Samantha was approached to play the heroine role and she showed interest as well. But she is yet to sign the dotted lines. It is said that Dil Raju is waiting for Samantha's nod to take the project on to the floors.
