Panaji, Dec 15 (IANS) Office bearers of Goa Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had a meeting on Saturday with the newly-appointed state organising secretary Satish Dhond and discussed the party's preparedness for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
State BJP President Vinay Tendulkar told reporters that an outreach programme had been planned for the party's organisational units, as directed by BJP's national President Amit Shah.
"On December 13, there was a meeting with the party's national President and a detailed programme to reach out to the remotest of corners of Goa was finalised. We have also decided on programmes for our units dealing with women, youth, farmers, backward castes, and minorities," Tendulkar said.
The state BJP President also said that party workers were introduced to the newly-appointed state BJP organising secretary Satish Dhond, who has been given additional charge of Goa, in addition to the Konkan region.
