Woman found hanging, husband arrested

Kolkata, Dec 6 (IANS) A 30-year-old woman in West Bengal's Nadia district was found hanging and her husband has been arrested based on her family's complaint, police said on Thursday.

Soma Majumdar of Bidhanpally was found hanging on Tuesday. Based on her family's complaint of domestic violence, her husband Biswajit Majumdar, 33, has been arrested, a police official said.

Six other members of Biswajit's family have been named in the complaint too. "Post-mortem report will make it clear if it was a suicide or murder," the officer said.
