Dublin, Dec 2 (IANS) The Spanish national football team was drawn in Group F of the Euro 2020 qualifying alongside Sweden, Norway, Romania, the Faroe Islands and Malta, according to the draw conducted in Dublin on Sunday.

Following the draw, Spain coach Luis Enrique warned that the group would not be easy, reports Efe news.

"It's about taking this very seriously. Now is the time to start studying our rivals deeply," Enrique said in Dublin.

"We're in a transition phase, but now the real competition starts," he added.

Defending champion Portugal will compete in Group B, which includes Ukraine, Serbia, Lithuania and Luxemburg.

France, the 2016 Euro runner-up and the 2018 FIFA World Cup champion, will square off against Iceland, Turkey, Albania, Moldavia and Andorra in Group H.

2014 World Cup champion Germany and the Netherlands are set to repeat their UEFA Nations League clash as they both compete in Group C, which also includes Northern Ireland, Estonia and Belarus.

The winner and the runner-up of each of the ten groups will qualify automatically for the 2020 Euro, which will be played in 12 European countries between June 12 and July 12.

Four other teams will book their places in the tourney through playoffs.
