Mumbai, Nov 22 (IANS) The S&P BSE Sensex will include HCL Technologies and Bajaj Finance in place of Wipro and Adani Ports from December 24.
In the latest rejig of the indices on the exchange, Edelweiss Financial Services entered the S&P BSE 100 index, replacing Power Finance Corp, said a BSE notification on Thursday.
Similarly on the Sensex 50 index, Bharti Infratel, Lupin and Hindustan Petroleum would made way for Bajaj Finserv, Britannia Industries and JSW Steel.
Besides, the Asia Index Pvt Ltd, a 50-50 partnership company between S&P Dow Jones Indices LLC and BSE also made 13 changes in the BSE 500 and three in BSE 200.
In addition, with the inclusion of Bajaj Finance in Sensex, the share of the financial sector rose in the index to nine of the 31 companies. All changes on the BSE would be effective from December 24.
