Chintpurni shrine to have helipad: Himachal CM

Shimla, Nov 5 (IANS) The famous Chintpurni shrine in Himachal Pradesh's Una district will be developed with an outlay of Rs 50 crore with the facility of a helipad, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said on Monday.

Addressing a public meeting in Amb town, he said infrastructure and basic facilities would be developed at the shrine to facilitate the visitors.

He said a helipad would also be constructed near the temple to facilitate high-end tourists and devotees visiting the place.

The Chief Minister said the state government was working with a commitment to come up to the expectations of the people. In the last 10 months of its tenure, the government has initiated several schemes for development of the state.

He said the central leadership has been sympathetic towards the development of the state by sanctioning projects of Rs 9,000 crore.

Earlier, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for strengthening the Bharwain-Chintpurni-Pacca Tiala road to be completed at a cost of Rs 16.15 crore. This road would benefit over 13,000 people of the area.
