TVS Motor net down marginally on increased total revenue

Chennai, Oct 23 (IANS) Two and three wheeler maker TVS Motor Company on Tuesday said it closed the second quarter of current fiscal with 21.9 per cent growth in its total revenue while the net profit dropped marginally.

In a statement issued here, the company said it has reported a revenue growth of 21.9 per cent for the second quarter of FY 2018-19.

Total revenue grew to Rs 4,994 crore in the current quarter of 2018-19 from Rs 4,098 crore in the quarter which ended September 2017.

However, the company reported a lower net profit of Rs 211.3 crore for the period under review, down from Rs 213.2 crore posted during the second quarter of previous fiscal.
