Exhibition displays vivid, abstract works by budding artist Deepali Roongta

New Delhi, Sep 13 (IANS) A vivid, varied colour palette and a desire to work with abstract forms is what defines budding artist Deepali Roongta's visual language, examples of which are displayed in an exhibition that opened at the Triveni Kala Sangam here on Thursday.

Titled "Vivid Clusters", the 10-day solo exhibition displays the recent works of Roongta, who has received training under the tutelage of Sanjay Roy at the Triveni Kala Sangam.

In a statement about her work, the arts centre said she "offers an intriguing perspective on how altered objects can create an interdisciplinary stage for idea creation and takes it to a completely new level where everything is fluid and surreal".

Roongta, who also plays with her medium and methodology while painting, creates compositions that are a "combination of natural and social realities".

"She also combines realistic and abstract forms to put across her ideas," the statement said, adding that her paintings make the viewer go through an emotional experience where their mind gets impacted in an intimate and unexpected communicative effect.

The exhibition is open for public viewing till September 23.
