New Delhi, Sep 13 (IANS) In a desperate attempt to attract crowds in the national capital, Delhi Dynamos on Thursday announced to sell general tickets for as low as Rs 49 while the VIP tickets will be priced at Rs 249 in the upcoming Indian Super League (ISL) season.
"The euphoria of watching a match live in the stadium is something really great and different and we want everyone to have this experience," said club director Rohan Sharma, after the online launch of the tickets.
"Delhi is primarily a student area with a host of educational institutes in and around the NCR. So, keeping this in view, we thought why not make tickets easily affordable for everyone."
Commenting on the idea behind offering VIP seats at just Rs 249, Dynamos CEO Ashish Shah said: "The idea is to have more and more people come to the stadium. A lot of us just sit at home and enjoy football.
"But the stadium experience is something totally different. Supporting your team from the stands has a different aura."
The Dynamos will play their opening home game against FC Pune City on October 3 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium here.
