Abuja (Nigeria), Aug 30 (IANS) Eight people were killed and three injured in an attack by suspected cattle raiders in Nigeria's Foron district, police said on Thursday.
Ninety five houses were burned and 310 cows were stolen by the attackers, who wreaked havoc in the Barkin Ladi area on Wednesday, Xinhua news agency quoted police spokesman Terna Tyopev as saying.
Police has launched an operation to apprehend the suspects, Tyopev said.
At least 86 people were killed in a similar attack on several villages in Nigeria's Plateau state on June 23.
