New Delhi, Aug 24 (IANS) Delhi Police on Friday voluntarily contributed Rs 1 crore to the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund for the flood victims in Kerala, an officer said.
"Major parts of Kerala have been affected by floods and countless number of people have been rendered homeless. Delhi Police have decided to stand with the people of Kerala in this hour of crisis," Delhi Police PRO Anil Mittal told IANS.
"As a humanitarian gesture, all rank officers of Delhi Police, including constables, have come forward and voluntarily contributed Rs 1 crore to the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund," Mittal added.
