Militants fired at constable Muhammad Yaqoob in Louswani village of Pulwama district this afternoon.
"The injured policeman was shifted to hospital where he succumbed to critical injuries," said a police officer.
Earlier in the day, militants killed another policeman in Zazripora village of Shopian district.
