Friends killed during ‘joyride’

Gurugram, Aug 21 (IANS) An executive and his woman engineer friend were killed in a road accident during a 'joyride' on a Royal Enfield bike here, police said on Tuesday.

Those dead were identified as Kevin Martin and Avinta Kant.

Martin was the marketing executive at Royal Enfield company and lived in New Delhi. Police said Kant was employed with a multinational in Gurugram.

"Both were on a joyride after finishing their dinner on Monday night when their Bullet met with an accident. Prima facie speeding seemed to be the reason for the accident," said a police officer.

The accident took place on Golf Course Road. Martin died on the spot and Kant while being taken to a hospital, he said.
