Mumbai, Aug 17 (IANS) Actor Vivek Anand Oberoi feels that he was destined to do a film with Kannada movie star Shiva Rajkumar.
Vivek will be seen playing the role of a police officer in "Rustum", also starring Shiva. This will be Vivek's Kannada film debut.
"I think I was destined to do a film with Shiva anna and I think it will definitely turn out to be one of the great and memorable experiences of my career. That's why I decided to do a special appearance in the film," Vivek, who has featured in films like "Company", "Saathiya" and "Omkara", said in a statement.
According to a source, when Vivek was 16 or 17 years old, he met Shiva for the first time when he was shooting here.
"Vivek went to meet him on his film set with a family friend. He was the first one who offered a film to Vivek. Even though Vivek politely declined since he was not ready for his acting debut then, he was extremely touched by Shiva Rajkumar's kind gesture," shared the source.
"Vivek always stands by his friends and never forgets things they do for him. So the moment he was told it's Shiva's film, he didn't even hear the script and immediately agreed to be part of it," the source added.
