Colombo, Aug 6 (IANS) The Sri Lankan Navy on Monday said it has arrested 21 illegal immigrants in a fishing trawler bound for another country.
The naval personnel intercepted the trawler during their patrol in the territorial waters off the island nation, Xinhua quoted Navy spokesman Dinesh Bandara as saying.
He said the suspects have been brought to the Colombo Port and handed over to the police for investigation. It is not known where they were headed to.
