Militant killed in Shopian

Srinagar, Aug 3 (IANS) A militant was killed on Friday in an operation by security forces in south Kashmir Shopian district, defence sources said.

Defence Ministry spokesman Colonel Rajesh Kalia said the militant died in an ongoing operation in Kiloora village of Shopian district.

"The operation against the terrorists is continuing in the area," the spokesman said.
