Ranchi, Aug 1 (IANS) Eight Maoist guerrillas were arrested in Jharkhand's Khuti district on Wednesday, police said.
The eight, from the People's Liberation Front of India (PLFI), were arrested in a joint operation of the police and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) from a jungle near Kulburu village, said Khuti Superintendent of Police Ashwani Kumar.
Kumar told reporters that an FIR had been lodged against the Maoists. Police seized two guns and a mobile phone from them.
Maoist guerrillas are active in 18 of the 24 districts of the state.
