New Delhi, July 30 (IANS) Congress MP Ranjeet Ranjan on Monday alleged that the railways are doing an injustice to the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) online exam aspirants by sending them to far-flung areas to appear in the examination.
"RRB examination is to be held on August 9. And the Railway Ministry is arranging seats of many candidates far from their house, as well as their respective states," Ranjan, the Lok Sabha MP from Supaul in Bihar, said while speaking during Zero Hour in the Lower House.
She said applicants from Bihar are being made to write examinations in Hyderabad, aspirants from Buxar are being sent to Chennai, while the aspirants from Patna are being sent to Bengaluru.
"Injustice is being meted out to the railway exam aspirants," she alleged.
"The Railway Ministry is saying it is an online exam. The Railway Minister must clarify why the candidates cannot write these online exams in their hometown?" she asked Railway Minister Piyush Goyal.
"Why in the name of online exam you are sending them to far flung places?" she questioned.
She also said the aspirants are unable to get confirmed tickets in the trains, and the trains are also running late.
