New Delhi, July 30 (IANS) Four criminals, including two accused in an attempt to murder case of a member of another gang, have been arrested, the police said on Monday.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Devender Arya said Nandu gang's Yogesh Sharma, 25, along with three of his associates, were arrested from Vasant Kunj.
"They hit the barricade and tried to open fire on the police party in a bid to flee but could not succeed," the DCP said.
One sophisticated semi-automatic pistol, two country-made pistols and 10 live cartridges were recovered from their possession.
"Two of them are wanted in the sensational day-light attempt to murder Shiva, associate of rival Manjeet gang," the police officer said.
A stolen silver colour Swift Dzire car and two scooties were also recovered from their possession.
