Patna, July 27 (IANS) Amid an uproar over the rape of nearly 30 inmates of a girls' shelter home in Bihar's Muzaffarpur, Union Minister Ram Kripal Yadav on Friday said that the truth will come out through the CBI probe and that the guilty will be punished.
"What happened in the shelter home run by an NGO in Muzaffarpur is a heinous crime and condemnable. Those found guilty will be punished according to law," Yadav, a Bharatiya Janata Party MP from Patliputra in Bihar said a day after the Bihar government recommended a CBI probe.
Leader of Opposition in the Bihar Assembly and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on Friday targeted Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for the "delayed decision" to recommend a probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation.
The Muzaffarpur police has filed a charge sheet against 10 accused, including main accused Brajesh Kumar Thakur.
