Chandigarh, July 16 (IANS) Even though humid conditions prevailed over the region, the maximum temperatures dipped at most places acrossAHaryana and Punjab on Monday.
The maximum temperatures dipped by one to five degrees from the average, Met department said here.
Chandigarh recorded a high of 29.7 degrees, four degrees below the average.
Patiala city in Punjab recorded a high of 29.2 degrees, five degrees below average.
Light to moderate rain occurred at some places in both states in the past 24 hours. The skies remain overcast at most places.
The Met department has predicted light to moderate rainfall in the region in the next two days. Heavy rain has been predicted at a few places.
Hisar town in Haryana saw a high of 36.7 degrees, masking it the hottest in the state.
Amritsar city in neighbouring Punjab recorded a high of 33.8 degrees.
