Actor Vijay Deverakonda auctions Filmfare award for Rs 25 Lakhs, Launched his clothing line Rowdy Wear

Tollywood Hero Vijay Deverakonda has auctioned his first ever Filmfare award for Rs 25 Lakhs to Shakunthala Divi (Divi Laboratories). He disclosed this at the launch of his clothing line ‘ROWDY WEAR’ at the first Rowdy sundowner party held at Hylife, 800 Jubilee, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. Vijay handed over the Filmfare trophy and received the cheque from Shakunthala. Addressing the gathering, Vijay announced that, award auction money of Rs 25 Lakh will be hand over to Telangana chief minister relief fund.

About the reason for launching ‘ROWDY WEAR’ hero, Vijay said, “A film will have many events such as audio release, promotional activities. I did not have that fancy looking clothes to look good before the camera. So I used to ask my producers about the clothes I wore in the film. I still have my ‘Yevadu Subramanyam’ clothes in my wardrobe. From there to here I’m launching my own clothing line, “I always see myself in you and this ‘ROWDY WEAR’ is my most ambitious project, my dream and a gift to myself,” stated Vijay Deverakonda.

The ‘Arjun Reddy’ actor said the tag of ‘ROWDY’ helped him to achieve his dreams and do whatever he feels like. The ‘ROWDY APP’ and ‘ROWDY WEAR’ are available on Google’s PlayStore. Every Wednesday there will be an auction on www.rowdyclub.in at 6 pm and none will be repeated in this auction.

He further added that he always wanted to see his parents without any stress and accordingly knocked every audition for an opportunity. “Though I used to get selected in many auditions, I could not make the cut. I was always motivated to make my parents proud and wait for that one opportunity. Finally, it happened with ‘Yevade Subramanyam’ and since then I have never looked back,” said Vijay.
