San Jose, July 13 (IANS) Costa Rica's national team, which has already scheduled a friendly against Japan on September 11, will also play a match against South Korea four days earlier as part of that same Asia tour, the Central American nation's football federation said.
The federation said on Thursday that the time and venue for the South Korea match had not yet been confirmed, reports Efe.
The match against Japan will be played at Panasonic Stadium Suita, located in Osaka prefecture.
The federation said the Costa Rican team would arrive in Asia four days before its match against South Korea on September 7, adding that it would then head to Japan on September 8 to prepare for its second friendly.
Costa Rica and South Korea have played seven matches, with each team winning three times and the other game ending in a draw, according to the federation.
The Ticos defeated the Koreans 3-1 in their most recent match, which was played on October 14, 2014, in Seoul.
