Hyderabad, July 12 (IANS) Targeting millions of Indian consumers waiting to migrate from feature phones to smartphones, domestic smartphone maker Intex Technologies on Thursday launched two "Full View" smartphones with 18:9 aspect ratio at a starting price of Rs 4,649.
The 5.34-inch INFIE 33, which runs Android N, is priced at Rs 5,049 and the 4.95-inch INFIE 3 model, which runs Android Oreo Go, is priced at Rs 4,649.
Both the phones come with 4G-Volte support, 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage. The INFIE 33 model is powered with a 1.3GHz quad-core processor while the INFIE 3 has a 1.1GHz quad core processor.
The INFIE 33 model features a 5MP rear camera and 5MP front shooter while the other variant has a 5MP primary camera and a 2MP selfie camera.
"The youth-centric 'Full View' series with features such as face unlock, bokeh effect in the camera and privacy-protection technologies offer the people an affordable option to buy smartphones," Ishita Bansal, Product Head (Mobiles), Intex Technologies, told IANS.
"Our target audience is different from that of Chinese players. We are currently focusing on those who are thinking of getting an upgrade from feature phones to smartphones," Bansal said.
"As a domestic manufacturer we know the Indina market inside out," she added.
One interesting feature that the INFIE 3 model, which houses a 2000mAh battery, has is called the "SPY Capture" which keeps a check on any stranger trying to unlock the smart phone with a security pattern. After three failed attempts, the front camera secretly captures the image of the person trying to unlock without notification.
Similarly, the INFIE 33 smartphone, which comes with a 3,000mAh battery, has a system that ensures that only users can view their private information, the company said.
