Tunis, July 12 (IANS) A bank branch in Grand Tunis area in Tunisia was robbed at gunpoint by a hooded individual, officials said on Wednesday.
The spokesman of Tunisia Interior Ministry Sofien Zaag said the robber, with a firearm, infiltrated the bank branch at around 11:30 a.m. local time.
"He robbed some money, the amount of which is not disclosed, and escaped despite the arrival of security units on the scene," Xinhua quoted Zaag as saying.
"He is currently being hunted down by security units after identifying the registration number of his car," Zaag said.
