Berlin, July 11 (IANS) Seasoned defender Holger Badstuber has signed a new three-year contract with German football club VfB Stuttgart after his old contract expired at the end of June.
"I am pleased about Holger Badstuber's contract extension. Besides his footballing qualities, he has also a lot of experience which will do our team good," Stuttgart head coach Tayfun Korkut said on Tuesday, reports Xinhua news agency.
After 15 years with Bayern Munich, Badtstuber joined the Swabians in 2017 to make 28 appearances, providing two goals ever since.
"I am convinced of Stuttgart's path and the transfer they have made. That is why I opted for Stuttgart and I am very curious to see what we can achieve together over the next few years," the 29-year-old Badstuber said.
Stuttgart completed the Bundesliga season 2017-2018 on the 7th place of the table.
