Beijing, July 11 (IANS) Chinese stocks opened lower on Wednesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 1.66 percent to open at 2,780.7 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index opened 1.96 per cent lower at 9,024.72 points, Xinhua news agency reported.
The ChiNext Index, China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, was down 1.91 per cent to open at 1,562.59 points.
