Zverev, World No. 3, needed three hours and 12 minutes to prevail over world No. 68 Fritz, after the match was suspended Thursday due to darkness, reports Efe.

He is to next take on former World No. 10 Ernests Gulbis of Latvia, who defeated No. 27 seed Damir Dzumhur of Bosnia 2-6, 6-4, 6-3, 1-6, 6-3 on Thursday.

 

Meanwhile, South Africa's Kevin Anderson booked a place at The Championships, Wimbledon fourth round after defeating Germany's Philipp Kohlschreiber 6-3, 7-5, 7-5 in two hours and seven minutes.

World No. 8 Anderson is set to square off against world No. 44 Gael Monfils of France.
