Rome, July 5 (IANS) Italian football club Societa Sportiva Calcio (SSC) Napoli on Thursday announced it had reached an agreement to sign Spanish midfielder Fabian Ruiz from Real Betis on a five-season contract.
The Serie A club paid a 30-million-euro ($35.14 million) buy-out clause, Real Betis announced on its website, reports Efe.
Ruiz, 22, who underwent medical tests on Tuesday, became Napoli's second signing of the transfer window, following Italy's Simone Verdi, who joined the Italian club for 25 million euros.
Ruiz was one of the outstanding Betis players during the 2017-18 La Liga season that saw him score three goals in 35 appearances.
Ruiz also made five appearances with Spain's national under-21 football team.
