Bronnitsy (Russia), June 28 (IANS) Argentina's midfielder Giovani Lo Celso on Thursday said that his team has what it takes to hurt France during their upcoming Round-of-16 clash at the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Argentina narrowly made it to the knockout stage, after being held to a 1-1 draw against debutant Iceland and then falling apart 0-3 against Croatia, yet managed to right their ship with a narrow 2-1 win over Nigeria, reports Efe.
"We are to face a great team, which has renowned players and was undefeated in the group stage, but Argentina is an important team and we have our weapons. I think it will be a good match," Lo Celso said after Argentina's morning training session.
Lo Celso said his team, La Albiceleste, will take their chances against France.
"France has high-level players, but at the same time you know when you allow Argentina some space, (we) can hurt (them)," the 22-year-old Paris Saint-Germain player stated.
Lo Celso stressed that Argentina would approach the game in hope-filled unity.
