10 IAS officers transferred in KarnatakaBengaluru, June 27 (IANS) As many as 10 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers in Karnataka have transferred.

According to a government notification dated Tuesday, M. Lakshminarayana, currently Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister, has been made Additional Chief Secretary, Social Welfare, while E.V. Ramana, Principal Secretary, Revenue, has been given additional charge of Principal Secretary to Chief Minister.

Kapil Mohan, Principal Secretary, Housing, has now been posted as the Director General of Administrative Training Institute in Mysuru, being replaced in his post by Anil Kumar, who was Secretary, Tourism.

 

Munish Moudgil has been moved from Commissioner, Excise, as the new Commissioner of Survey, Settlement and Land Records division, while B.S. Shankarappa has been posted as the Directorate of Command Areas Development Authority, Bengaluru, from his earlier post as the Additional Secretary to the Chief Minister.

B.M. Vijay Shankar is the new Deputy Commissioner for Bengaluru Urban district, while his former post as the Special Commissioner for Bengaluru city's civic body was withdrawn.A

Nitesh Patil has been posted as the Additional Commissioner for Commercial Taxes Department, while Nalini Atul has been made the new Joint Managing Director of Karnataka Urban Infrastructure Development and Finance Corporation.

Meanwhile, IAS officer Rohini Sindhuri Dasari, who was transferred from her post as the Hassan Deputy Commissioner in March, returned to the same post, an official from the Chief Minister's Office told IANS here.

Dasari had challenged the state's transfer orders before the Central Administrative Tribunal and the High Court, alleging that then Siddaramaiah government's decision was politically motivated.

She had also booked then district in-charge Minister A. Manju for violating poll code ahead of the May 12 assembly election.
