New Delhi, June 22 (IANS) The national capital faced an all time high peak power demand in May and June, compared to the last three years, according to a government data.
As of June 19 this year, the demand reached 6,934 MW, against 6,526 MW in 2017 and was only 6,260 MW in 2016.
For the month of May, the demand was 6,422 MW, against 6,021 MW in 2017 and 6,188 MW in 2016.
The peak power demand of Delhi broke all previous records twice in June -- June 1 with 6,651 MW and June 8 with the peak demand reaching 6,934 MW -- to hit an all-time high.
