Sanaa, June 17 (IANS) Houthi rebels on Sunday recaptured the airport in Yemen's port city of Hudaydah, hours after government forces backed by a Saudi-led coalition had it under their control.
Hundreds of Houthi militias forced the government troops to withdraw after intense clashes on Saturday night, reports Efe news.
The trrops withdrew to the south and east of the airport.
The development took place on the fifth day of a government offensive to seize the strategic city, whose port is one of the main entry points for essential supplies to the country.
