New Delhi, June 10 (IANS) Former National Investigation Agency (NIA) chief Sharad Kumar has been appointed a Vigilance Commissioner in the Central Vigilance Commission, an official statement said on Sunday.
An 1979 batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of the Haryana cadre, he has been appointed for a term of four years from the date on which he assumes his new role, or till he attains the age of 65 years, whichever is earlier.
Sharad Kumar was appointed NIA Director in 2013 and headed the anti-terror organisation till September 2017.
