Mumbai, June 4 (IANS) Erasing its morning gains, the key Indian equity indices on Monday afternoon was trading lower.
The 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex) was trading 103.59 points or 0.29 per cent lower during the afternoon session.
The wider 50-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was also trading 48.55 points or 0.45 per cent lower at 10,647.65 points.
"Sensex and NSE's Nifty opened nearly 1 per cent higher, but gave up all the gains post 15 minutes of trade. Asian markets edged higher as US jobs data offset worries that tariff wars between the US and the rest of the world could drag global economic growth lower," said Dhruv Desai, Director and Chief Operating Officer at Tradebulls.
The Sensex of the BSE, which opened at 35,503.24 points, traded at 35,123.67 points (at 1.15 p.m.), 103.59 points or 0.29 per cent lower from the previous day's close at 35,227.26 points.
The Sensex touched a high of 35,555.59 points and a low of 35,089.66 in the trade so far.
